What Do You Need to Do Before Upgrading to Drupal 10?
Before upgrading to Drupal 10, it is essential to make sure that your website meets the following requirements:
PHP Requirements
Drupal 10 requires PHP version 8.1 or higher, and it is recommended to use version 8.1.6 or higher to avoid potential bugs with the PHP OPcache. Be sure to check for any end-of-life warnings on your current PHP version. Also, consider that Drupal 10 requires Symfony 6.2.
Database Requirements
Drupal 10 supports a variety of databases, including MySQL or Percona 5.7.8, MariaDB 10.3.7, PostgreSQL 12, and SQLite 3.26. Be sure to check that your current database version meets the minimum requirements.
Browser Support Requirements
Internet Explorer is no longer supported in Drupal 10, and older versions of Universal Control Browser have been removed.
Composer Requirements
Drupal 10 recommends using Composer version 2.3.6 or higher, which is required for compatibility with PHP 8.2 and the forthcoming Automatic Updates feature.
