lnnovMetric moves to next-generation web presence with Acquia DXP

Context

With Audi, BMW, Toyota, Airbus and Apple among its customers and more than 400 employees in 16 countries, InnovMetric is a leader in 3D metrology software solutions. To maintain the company’s growth rate, the performance and stability of its web system was critical.

Initially, Symetris' mission was to take over the InnovMetric website from the previous provider and implement fixes and improvements that would allow for time to address scalability issues.

Symetris next undertook a strategic audit of the site to help determine priority site improvements and the order of their implementation. This audit revealed that several web systems are working in silo within lnnovMetric, hindering efficiency, performance, and sustainability. Likewise, lnnovMetric’s existing platform had accumulated technological debt that caused inefficacies and long lead times for even for minor site improvements.

To address lnnovMetric’s scalability issues and move them to a next-generation web presence, Symetris undertook a full rebuild of the site using Acquia’s Digital Experience Platform (DXP) technology. This new DXP site provided a robust, flexible site that would allow lnnovMetric to grow their digital presence and drive increased traffic to their site.

We used Acquia Cloud for hosting the DXP, as it is a scalable, secure cloud platform architected for maximum Drupal performance.

Acquia Site Studio provided a visual page builder for fast, easy site creation within the DXP. lnnovMetric needed multiple microsites set up (often in other languages) for use all around the world. Acquia Site Studio enabled lnnovMetric’s in-house team to quickly create new individual pages around existing core content or to make changes to existing pages in real time, eliminating the bottleneck caused by previous accumulated technological debt. Acquia Site Studio ensures that any page is automatically adjusted so they are formatted properly and drive maximum engagement.

Acquia Content Hub allows lnnovMetric’s to discover and syndicate all content available across their business through one centralized tool. lnnovMetric can now easily manage content on multiple sites, across multiple teams and geographies.

As proof of the project’s success, Symetris increased the platform’s potential tenfold, making it an indispensable business tool for the client.

Now linked by a more than four-year relationship, Symetris strategists and InnovMetric are collaborating to build a new strategic multi-year roadmap aligned with planned growth and the overall evolution of the DXP.
